About Us
At Squankum Kennels our customers and their pets are treated like family. Family owned and operated since 1976, Squankum Kennels is housed on 15 spacious acres where our customers enjoy the “country feel” of our facility. Our workers: Marci, Dee and the Kennel Attendants are caring, friendly, and nurturing. They get to know you and your pet so that we can provide that “home away from home” quality care for your pet. They insure that each pet has a clean, safe, and sanitized area to eat, sleep or just “hang out” and watch the activities. There is plenty of fresh air and a center yard of open space for our dog walking and exercise program during the spring, summer, and fall.
Our kennel can accommodate all breeds of dogs because of the varying sizes of our runs. The average run is 6 feet by 10 feet on the outside and 4 feet by 6 feet on the inside. The toy breeds have their choice of our new facility or being housed in the main kennel.
During inclement weather our pets continue their exercise program in our indoor arena. Local veterinarians make referrals and appreciate our follow up phone call if we have a concern about our mutual client. Some of our customers have been boarding with us for over 25 years as each new pet becomes part of their family.
